Varicose Veins and Venous Ulcers

Varicose veins are knobby, twisted and darkish-blue in appearance. Venous ulcers can occur when the veins in your legs do not push blood back up to your heart as well as they should.

Reticular Veins and Spider Veins

Reticular veins occur with improper valve closure within the veins causing the vein to change color or become enlarged. Spider veins are like varicose veins, but smaller and closer to the surface of the skin.

Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI)

A condition that occurs when the leg veins do not work properly and allow blood to pool in the lower leg veins instead of returning to the heart.
